This article highlights the work of ABBA (Arts for A Better Bay Area), an organization I co-founded with Ebony McKinney. ABBA's community organizing was instrumental in securing an historic 50% increase to the Cultural Equity Endowment, expanding arts access in historically underserved communities.

This article highlights The News, which was a monthly cabaret-style series for new queer work that began in response to the closure of LGBTQ spaces in SoMa. The News was the brainchild of Kolmel Withlove and an example of many community-building initiatives I was privileged to support as the executive director of SOMArts, a cultural center in South of Market.
